Bongil Bongil National Park
South of Sawtell a park with picnic spots and high forest. Good for canoeing
along the creeks in the park.
Bruxner Park Flora Reserve
Just north of Coffs Harbour is Sealy Point Lookout with views along the coast and walking tracks.
Coffs Harbour Creek Walk
Starts at Coff Street and ends at England's Park.
Dorrigo National Park
Muttonbird Island
Just beyond Coffs Harbour Marina is Muttonbird Island Nature Reserve. Good
for whale watching between June and October and for shearwaters from November
to April. There are no trees on Muttonbird Island but is a nesting site for
wedge-tailed shearwaters. The eastern side of Muttonbird Island has views
out to sea.
Orara Valley
A relaxed country area with pubs and the rural communities of Orara, Coramba, Lowanna, Ulong, Nana Glen and Glenreagh.
Storyland Gardens
A shady forest with model houses and figures from storybook tales. Lyons Road 10km south of Coffs Harbour. The Orara Valley
This inland valley offers drives to the rural communities of Upper Orara , Coramba, Lowanna, Ulong, and Nana Glen. Pan for gold at George's Gold Mine.
Waterfall Way
Waterfall Way is a drive up the Great Dividing Range to Armidale passing through Bellingen on the way to Dorrigo. Dorrigo sits on the edge of the Great Dividing Range and to the east of the town is the Dorrigo National Park with world heritage listed rainforests.
